The first floor contains adminis- trative and adjunct offices, faculty offices, faculty lounge, student lounge, general classrooms, computer lab and a semi- nar room. General classrooms, biology laboratories, seminar rooms and faculty offices make up the second floor, with chemistry and physics labs and addition- al classrooms located on the third floor. The new design features a strong con- nection to the campus's existing student center, library and adjacent academic building by creating an enclosed outdoor quadrangle through its careful place- ment on the site. The project is LEED Gold certified. Notable features include a vegetated roof, water efficient fixtures and energy measurement and verification systems.
